Wheels to Work, Making a Difference in transportation

Most obstacles preventing Oklahomans from working are addressed by Oklahoma City non-profits and businesses; however, transportation is still a very present and pressing issue. It is impossible to go to work, school, or the store without some mode of transportation; unfortunately,  transportation in Oklahoma City is too expensive, inefficient, or time-consuming. Our mission is to provide convenient, affordable transportation to needy people who are working or looking for work in our city.   Through school events and projects, the Westminster School Class of 2019 has raised over 10,000 dollars, part of which we will spend to help those faced with inadequate transportation.

We have three different transportation partners helping people with their transportation needs. We are working with Chain Reaction  to provide bicycles, Embark of Oklahoma City to provide bus passes and SendaRide to provide one-time emergency transportation.

We are also working with two agencies who are helping these people find work. These agencies are ReMerge and the OKC VAMC who will make available to their clients the transportation options we provide.
